Company background

Classy Cab Company was founded in early 2005 by Bob DeLucia, a Pittsburgh-area entrepreneur who has worked for, and owned, successful transportation companies in western Pennsylvania for more than 25 years. Bob established Classy Cab because he believes that the taxi cabs underserve the Pittsburgh market, and that the region needs upscale, comfortable and prompt car service. Classy Cab's vehicles are registered with the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission and are inspected and maintained on a daily basis.

Service description

Classy Cab Company (CCC) provides car service within the City of Pittsburgh, taking visitors and residents among the city’s finest hotels, best restaurants and most popular entertainment & sports venues, museums and other attractions.

CCC offers car service in a price range and setting between those of a “typical” taxi cab and a limousine. Metered Rates First one-seventh (1/7) mile, or fraction: $5.00 Each additional one-seventh (1/7) mile, or fraction: $0.35 Waiting time - every minute: $0.35 Additional Charges Flat rate charge, in addition to meter rate: all trips originating in the City of Pittsburgh and terminating more than ten (10) miles from the Allegheny County Courthouse in the City of Pittsburgh, where there is no return trip to the City of Pittsburgh, shall be charged the meter rate, plus an additional charge of: $4.00 Surcharge, in addition to meter rate and flat rate (if applicable): all trips originating between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily, or on Sunday, or on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas: $2.00 Call or Demand Carrier Fuel Surcharge Extension The PA Public Utility Commission has authorized the establishment of a fuel surcharge under Special Permission No. 28208.
