Company background

Winchfield Taxis was established in early 2000 and made an immediate impact in the villages of Hartley Wintney and Winchfield due to the very expensive call out charges that where added by Fleet based companies to service local villages and surrounding areas. The business continued to grow and by 2002 it had become obvious that it was no longer sustainable to run Winchfield Taxis as a one man concern. In October 2002 Winchfield Taxis was given the opportunity of becoming the main supplier of taxi transport to the new Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire (which at time was still under construction), however this was a task that was to big for the business on its own. The Four Seasons Hotel would only do business with a company that was fully operational 24 hours a day and within the district this type of operation did not exist. In late 2002 the proprietor Roy Sheriff started looking for a new business parter and in early 2003 Hart Taxis Ltd was formed. Since those early days Winchfield Taxis has grown to become the only service provider offering a genuine 24 hour taxi service that now covers the whole of the Hart District. Winchfield Taxis is not part of and has no association with Winchfield Taxis Ltd formed in September 2008

To keep investing in the latest technologies that allows us to provide our clients with the best possible taxi journey within Hampshire. Since 2009 the business has started investing in training programs and to date several of our drivers have now gone on to gain a BTEC Passenger Transport Qualification. The aim for 2010 is to invest further in staff training.
