Sharjah taxi

Dear Sir / Madam,

Today morning (28/05/2011) I faced a bad experience with a Sharjah- Emirates taxi ( Plate number: 24521) driver. When I drove from Ajman to Sharjah (near GMC Hospital-Ajman) on the first tack, this taxi driver followed my car behind and forced me to drive fast. But the maximum speed limit is 80 Km on that road, I couldn’t drove above 80 km speed and I didn’t change my track also. Suddenly this taxi driver came to next track and parallel to me and shouted something. I told him to park the car right side and he did the same. Then I left my car and asked what was the problem. He asked me ‘ why you are driving in the fast first track since you are driving slow? You should take the second or third track’ . I replied him ‘ I’m not driving slow. I already reached my maximum speed limit of 80 Km. If I get fine who will pay because of you. Also  the tracks are made not based on the speed and for left/right/straight routes convenient.’

He told ‘ I know the rules better than you since I’m driving here long time’. I replied ‘ It’s not a time factor. As per UAE road rule, what I did is correct. If you want I will call Anjad for clarification’. After that immediately he took the car away and drove out with some warnings to me.

Many people in UAE are thinking that the first track is for speed vehicle only. It is untrue. Speed is equal for all tracks and for our further proceedings (going left/right/straight) only theses tracks have been made.

What this taxi company will do for this? Can anyone will respond for this?

I have lost my mobile HTC (Black colour) in Sharjah Taxi while travelling from Sahara Centre to Bin Laden on 30^th April 2011 at 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. If any one find it please call to 0558212563 Maneesh and 0552481021 Preeth... Regards
