We'll be arriving by ship in November. Are taxis generally available at the cruise pier?What is the approximate cost of a taxi to Fo Guang Shan? To wait and return? Or are taxis available at the monastery? Thanks.

I would like to find out what is taxi rate in kaoshiung? How much will it cost for 5mins ride?

Your initial fair is 85NTD which is equivalent to about $3 and will take you about 5-10 minutes away. There's an extra charge on New Year's Eve and there is an extra charge to go from the airport and possibly to as well. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Feel free to ask me anything you'd like. I've lived here for two years and will be staying for awhile longer.
