Using Dakar’s taxis may not be as simple as you may have thought, sometimes you may found that local mafia runs taxi business togheter with Hotel management. This is the case of the King Fahd Palace hotel ( former Le Meridien President ) , where the hotel manager and the hotel security head Mr. M’Ballo are dealing with a local mafia representative Mr. Sering Taco Thiaw , in running a local transport business with fare from 5 to 10 times the normal taxi fare. Be aware of the yellow cab standing inside and outside the king fahd palace hotel, these are not regular taxi and you may have a very colorful experience….
