Yo también voy mucho a Bucarest para asuntos del trabajo. De donde eres tú? Precisamente estaba asustada por la de los taxis de Bucarest porque me contaron cosas desagradables antes de llegar aquí para la primera vez, pero ninguna es verdad. Las compañías son muy justas, coches buenos, taxistas ok wue aun conocen otras idiomas. Y claro, Cristaxi me parece la mejor por el gran número de coches que tienen... siempre hay coches disponibles cuando llamas a pedir un taxi de Cristaxi.

Voy mucho a Bucarest y siempre que necesito taxis llamo a Cristaxi porque son baratos y tienen coches correctos en cuanto a limpieza. Hay otras compañías mucho más caras pero no vale la pena. Y otras más baratas que tienen unos coches espantosos o te timan. Cristaxi tiene muy buena reputación entre los rumanos y la verdad es que dan un servicio impecable.

The Hilton Athenee Palace front desk personnel has called for a metered city taxi on my behalf to Cristal (or CrisTaxi?). Taxi number 644.
Trusting that the Hilton's Florin will know better which company could be trust to transport it's guess from Bucharest to the Otopeni Henri Coanda Airport, I didn't questioned the choice of the taxi company. I now suspect that the employee at this 5 star hotel has something to gain from identifying possible victims for taxi scam, making quick money?
I was under the full believe that the taxi meter was on and I will only the displayed taxied amount and some tips on top. When I arrived, the driver, Gabriel (Gabrial?) demanding that I pay RON 100 from Hilton to Airport, because it is a taxi company policy. That's about EUR 25! This is daylight robbery.
I will never recommend Hilton Athenee Palace to anyone, and neither to advise tourist to Bucharest to take this taxi.
If you cannot trust the General Manager, can you trust these smiling Front Desk taxi scam brokers?
