My name is Rajesh Kapadia.Today 3/28/2011. I called for a Taxi in downtown near Walgreen Waterbury,CT about 5:40. When I got in the Cab I saw number 3.25 and when he dropped me home 20.05 and he charged $20.00 I told cab driver that don't you think you have to subtract 3.25 from that number and he said it is $20.00 and I paid and I did not argue and told me to call office. I don't know much about taxi but I don't think it is $20 I asked for some kind of receipt he asked me if I have pen and filled out to $20 but he did not include 3.25 to 20.00. He deliberately over charged me and I like to have my money back. Please report to everyone responsible. Where do I go to complaint or which state or local office I should go to complaint? I hope to hear from you. Thank you. Sincerely, Rajesh

The $3.25 is the basic starting fee just for getting inside the vehicle, after which it adds up based on actual mileage.  In other words, if you were to change your mind and ask to get off the cab after just one block, the driver would have insisted on you paying the basic $3.25.  I hope I've answered your question.
