From Airport, Please call a taxi and wait 5 minutes max. It will cost you 5 times less than taking from the stand (say 18LTL). Same rule applies in the town. Flagging a taxi or taking it from the stand is very expensive in Lithuania. Martonas are most expensive.

WARNING! These guys are criminal. They use every trick in the book to get an extra cent from you. Examples: 1) Not returning change, 2) >3 x Price to Airport (should be 10-12 Lit.), 3) "Extra" cost for using "large" cars. (They are all the same.) 4) Claiming fixed price although phone operator says it is always by meter. 5) Taping/masking over the "per km price" on meter. Just call the police if they give you trouble!

Yep Martonas Taxis are a rip off alright - The meter was running like it was crazy - he charged 80 litas from aitport to old town € 23 Euro for 8 km !!

Martono Taxi driver offered fixed price to aiport which was 3 times more after my request to turn on a counter.

Martono Taksi added a digit to my credit card bill, doubling the cost of my ride to the airport with them. Basically, they stole from me. I'd always pay cash if you use these people.
