| Located in a lush, tropical garden, the Lodge overlooks the bay and village of Taiohae and the black sandy beach which is 50 steps below. Nuku Hiva is the largest island in the Marquesas - approx 330 sq. km. (127 sq. miles) and is a 3h 15 min flight from Tahiti. Taiohae is a village on the sea, considered to be the commercial centre of the Marquesas. Transfer from the airport to the hotel takes 2 hours by 4 wheel drive or 7 minutes by helicopter, followed by a five minute 4 wheel drive to the hotel. |
