on 20/6/2008 at about 4.50 pm while driving my car in sharjah one taxi driver tried to jump me on a roundabout ,i was already on the roundabout on the inner track about to exit left  when he entered the roundabout ,he had sense enough to stop or it would have been a certain collision ,the vehicle had a sharjah registration no. starting with the numbers 2025(probably emirates taxi ,i am not sure,i was not able get all the numbers ),that was a mistake but what really upset me was the way he followed it up with with a very threatening gesture almost ramming my car .That driver has a very bad attitude problem , I hope he doesnt get into any major accident with this attitude.

Dear Sirs,
I like to share my painful experiences with Emirate taxi sharjah. The drivers never stop the car to take you on Alwahada road. In case he stops he faltly refuses to take a trip to Dubai. Once at 1 PM i agreed with driver to pay him the double of the meter reading for taking me to Welcare hospital. Yesterday I was taking my wife to NMC hopsital Deira. Since he fly over construction is going on we could not take the right turn from Geldhari round about. The driver behaved as if he is not aware of any roads. He asked us to get down from the taxi and walk to find out the hospital. I told him that I will pay you any amount that is shown on meter. Since he could not speak English or Hindi/Urudhu or any alngauge legibaly it was very painful to listen his abuses. The number written on the the sticker in front was 142. After so much of his abuses we got down on raod and waited for a Dubai taxi. Please take suitable measures by the taxi company to give a gentle man service to the public

sir/madam,
everyday, i used to go to my work through taxi from sharjah to dubai airport road and my fare is only 19.25dirhams but i used to give 20 and i don't take the change. but this morning, the taxi i was hired is too greedy. i gave 50dirhams and he gave 20dirhams change, i thought at first that he was just mistaken that 10dirhams into 20dirhams so i said : my friend, this is only 20dirhams i need 10 dirhams more but the taxi driver said NO it's like this because i will go back to sharjah and then i said how can be like this everyday i came by taxi with the same fare but they never charge me more, then he really doesn't like to give my 10dirhams change then i said ok then if u dont want just stay here and i will call the police when he know that i'm very serious finally he ok shut up and he give me the 10 dirhams change. i'm making this complain because i don't want other people to be victimize of this greedy taxi driver. the plate number is 20570 Emirates taxi. i hope the operator of this taxi will take action for this serious matter, because what if this driver to do this to other customer and did not complain then he will continue doing this to earn extra money. the driver is very greedy man. he is very bad to your business.

sir/maam;
me and my wife rode a taxi from city center sharjah to j&p signal at around 8:30pm. actually our real distination is between j&p and geco r/a. when we reaches j&p signal we saw the taxi meter having an amount of 5.25 dirhams only but when we are already at enoc petrol pump which is only a few meters from j&p signal, the meter of this taxi became 9.25dirhams already, how can this be happen. and when we gave the ten dirhams to pay our bill this driver gave us only .50 pils instead of .75 pils and when we ask him for the .25 pils he is angry. this driver dosnt really be a trust worthy worker or driver to your side. how can be your tourist or visitors be contented to your services if you have a cheater driver. the driver will not be liable about this instead YOU the operator who is managing this how many taxi cabs. i hope to hear a disiplinary action about this matter. the taxi cab body number is CT571. hoping for your response abouot this.

Sir/Mam,
I'm not sure whether anybody will read it or it can make any impact, but still I write it just to satisfy myself from the insult I felt when I tried to talk to your customer service no.
Its commonly believed that taxi-drivers are very rough, I'm surprised to know that even their customer service rougher.
I happened to call at 06-5598598 and asked for their marketing manager on 7th Thursday,February, to discuss a business proposal wich infact help improve their service. The lady infact shouted something in Hindi (I'm not sure) and literally banged the phone. I felt as if she hit on my face.
I really wish if they could get a person who could talk like a human.

I agree with all and would say that the taxi system is rediculous in UAE. You have to wiat hours to get a taxi. Specially the system when Dubai taxi cannot pick you in sharjah and sharjah Taxi will not pick you in dubai. They just refuse and act like theya re doing a big favour. I wonder what one should do when you cannot get a Driving license and yet you a over a decade years of experience and then get punished by Taxi. I would say that If you want to punish someone tell him to go n bring a Dubai Taxi.

I am currently a teacher at a school in Dubai but stay in Sharjah in 'HELI TOWERS' Block B.  When I want to go to the Sahara Centre, I need to walk across the bridge.  Whenever there is a Taxi, the man just refuses to take me to the Sahara Centre because of the short travelling distance.  He won't benefit from it.  I arranged a Sharjah Taxi (Mr Tarick) to take me to 'church' services on Fridays at the "Sholars International Academy" school.  Without any prior notice, he just did not come yesterday.  I took another Taxi.  It was an older man.  He took three of us to church and offered to fetch us as 12:30 but he wanted my details for if we won't be waiting for him, he will report us.  At 12:30, we were stranded.  The man did not return to pick us up.  We were in a very difficult situation.  Most of the Taxi-men don't know where the "Scholars International School," is.  (It is opposite the Delhi school in Sharjah).   My question:  Is there any reliable Taxi-man that can always take me to church on a Friday morning at 9:45 and fetch met at 12:30 again?  Please - the cost works out at approximately 30 + 30 dirhams there and back again. 
Another BIG problem is that Sharjah taxi-people refuse to take us to Dubai and VICE VERSA, because they are not allowed to bring passengers back from those areas.  How must we get to the Dubai area then?
