the worst service is with vancouver taxi...i called 4 times in over an hour...only to finally be told after over an hour that the wait is 1 to 2 hours. if that isn't bad enough...i saw at least a half dozen cabs drive past the starbucks i was in with no passengers and the light on the top of the cabs!! not only that...they never called back to let me know when and if the cab was coming...i ended up taking a bus home, over an hour and a half later!!! i will NEVER call them again!!!!

Yellow Cab is plentiful in Vancouver, but TERRIBLE.  The cars often don't show up, I've had drivers be VERY rude to me, I've dispatch is unfriendly and gets details wrong (maybe this is why the cars don't show up?)  Overall, there are lots of companies in Vancouver.  Don't call this one ... just flag it if you see one, and call another company if you want good service.

Hola Romina,
te paso aquí los datos sobre las tarifas de taxis en Vancouver que eran vigentes el año pasado para que te orientes un poco.
La puesta en marcha del servicio de las empresas de taxi allá en Vancouver costaba unos 2.5 dólares canadienses, evidentemente. Luego, por kilómetro te costaría 1.35 poco más o menos y te doy por si acaso la tarifa de espera que los taxistas de Vancouver calculan por horas. Te sale la hora unos 25 dólares.
Ya te comento que ésto era así al año pasado cuando estuve yo pero es posible que hayan subido un poco desde entonces, porque ya sabes que también los taxis hacen lobby para aumentar las tarifas y por qué no iba a ser el caso de las flotas de taxis en Vancouver...
