Going to the airport the Quebec Taxi driver had me “on the meter”. Upon arriving at the airport, the driver added $7 (25%) to the metered fare plus a tip. I explained that I knew of the flat rate fare for trips from the airport, but that trips to the airport are metered. The driver insisted that I pay him the higher flat rate fare plus a $2.50 tip. When I called the Quebec Taxi office, they would not believe that a driver would cheat me, then insisted that if I were to make a complaint it had to be in French. This is not a respectable company.
