From when I used to take Diamond taxi I thought it was fair, I always had pleasant drivers. The only incident I recall having was I was forgotten entirely. I waited 30 minutes. Figured they must have been busy- then I waited an hour more just to see if anyone would come. Nope. Luckily there was another call though and I knocked on the cabs door and asked about it. I heard that female dispatcher was coo-coo anyway.

Diamond taxis business has been alot better since a recent dispatcher has vanished, I am now currently using diamond taxi services, and it has been extremely better then ever. Good job the company made a good choice vetting rid of that female dispatcher

sounds like i hit a nerve? buy more cars, get a loan, hire better people... are u not getting the picture towny? this is a long standing problem in this town and they should be regulated to the max!!! the gov't drug tests truck drivers for hauling commodities, these people are hauling, let me see- people!!!! get off your high horse towny, obviously a driver, and stop thinking that you're doing people a favor by double charging, like us thinking we are heros or something, and look at the real issue here. well, you can't spell, so i doubt very much your thinking abilities are up to par, do something about it! i am sure your way of life will be better for it, and of course people can enjoy the cab ride without smoke filled cars, abusive people, dirty drivers etc... and your worried about doing people a favor!!!

Well let's see now if you did have your facts straight and new the cost of keeping the cars on the road you would know for the one or two busy days of the week does not make enough money to put more cars on but then you would have to have a clue to understand that but ..... Guess not and I am not a driver if you must know but I think we should meet somewhere and discuss this issue so you can really understand and don't be scared I will talk slow!!!!

i am glad to see there is a forum to discuss that town's taxi industry. i know we use meters up here and we find them to be absurd price wise, that is. but down there, unbelievable!! me and a friend called for a cab to go into fredericton on a fri. nite, well, the woman on the phone, although pleasant and did say it would be a half an hour, fair enough, i said. well a little more than an hour later we finally get picked up, only to be asked to pickup 2 more people next building over going to the same place. we said sure, why not we'll split it 4 ways. NOTTTTTT!!!!! this dispatcher over the radio after we are already into fredericton informed the driver that it would be 2 separate calls. WHAT!!! i screamed, are you f___ing kiddin' me? we let you pikup 2 more people to clear your already overloaded nite, and you won't so much as give us a break on the price? this bunch of hoods i call 'em actually made 50 dollars pickin us up at h3 and picking 2 more up at h1 going to the same place 2 separate fares. i don't know what the driver's make, but i can only guess the dispatcher's doing something awry, either that or she is the biggest kiss ass going? i can understand if we had to go to the other end of the base or something, or going to 2 separate places in fredericton, that's fair, i guess? but, what she did to us, and i can only assume she has done it to others over her tenure there was an outright GOUGE, nothing more. and certainly nothing less!!! if i do end up back there, i will not be allowing a double fare again, i know up here you can't do that, now i can see why!!! to be fair trying to get back from fredericton was an ordeal in itself, and you wonder why people drink and drive? i'd take the other taxi service, but, well, if you have been there you would know, pitiful!!!

listen here cpl hero and pascel i may agree of the things about this caraline and some day time staff but i have taken cabs from this company for probably many years before you were born, and you and others like the fella before you commenting about diamonds service of the cost of fares not sharing the cost and the timmings but instead of shooting your gums off online like a coward why don't you get your facts straight think before you talk did you ever think it may be very busy on a weekend night where hundreds of people want a cab to go to the bar or other places at the same time as you with the company only having 6-7 cars on the road and maybe you think thats all the cars they have and with laws to follow cause if i were a driver i would not lose my license for a cowardly pushover like some of the people on here , and this thing about sharing the cost i for one fully understand as if it were busy and i had a chance to take a cab with someone else in it in stead of wait another hour for cabs to come around i would be thankful and everytime i get in the cab if they are busy tring to shuffle all thows people around town at the same time the driver will always give me the opption asking if it is alright if someone jumps in and i say yes cause it couold of been me waiting or in a hurry did you ever think of that ...oh guess you would't cause i forgot you dont think before you talk and the dispatchers are not trying to scam money they charge two sepperate calls for the different calls they have p[icked up in the cab because they are TWO DIFFERENT CALLS I think they are doing you a favour for not making you wait you inconsiderate.............anyway people like you guys just burn my skin bad mouthing some good people for something to do get a life.

I had no idea that the Taxi industry is so... screwed up!! Here in this Town on a Fri. or a Sat, or let's just say anytime you really really want to get somewhere quick in this Town, you couldn't get a Cab to save your ass!!! Unbelievable!!! I know there is an Issue with the costs, and this is a Transient Town, and to Insure vehicles for the full year, only to have half your Fleet sit for a good part of the year. But it's the people behind the Wheel, especially during the daytime, they are obviously hiring Alcoholics, Lost Souls, Dopers etc... you get my drift? This Industry needs some Purging and some rules that are enforced, this is a growing town, bigtime, and they need to get with the program, and quick!! I got a Taxi from Base one morning and the Little Guy, don't know his name, I'm sure was still Drunk, that early in the morning it is pretty obvious what he was doing just a few hours earlier? One time I took a Taxi from the Mall there, and the Driver was the Dispatcher, his name was Al, he was flying around like he was trying to get out of a Maze or something, answering the phone, whilst still giving his Drivers other calls? Does anyone else have an issue with this? I'd take the only other Taxi Company but really, they are twice as bad, with less Vehicles. Oh, and let's not forget about Princess Caroline, sorry but she is without a doubt the worst individual in that Company, nothin' but a rude, loud mouth, lying, Gambling S.O.B!!!!! I really hope that I never go down there again for a Course!! Look, I know there are some good people working there, but if this was regulated better, weed out the Bad Seeds and paying the Drivers' better, I think you would see a big difference in the Industry?

I just found out about this comment page for customers, and i am not really one to complain, but i have some pretty poor customer service over the time i have been taking Diamond Taxi here in Oromocto. I am not speaking of all of the drivers here, but i do have a complaint about one which i will even give the name. Her name is Caroline and every time she answers my call (if she answers it) i cringe. Tonight alone i called on 4 separate times and on the forth actually talked to her...she hadnt answered the call the other three times and i really like the drivers for diamond with the exception of her, so the last time i was about to hang up and call town taxi for my drive, but she answered right before. This has happened on several occasions with her. Also, i do not appreciate being being told by her that the cab im waiting on will only be 5 mins when in all fact it takes 45 mins to an hour sometimes-- if the cab is going to be later i would appreciate being told, at least then i could expect the wait and not just get angry when im left hanging. I get a cab and sometimes more every day, and i take diamond because i love the driviers i normally get, but when i get her at night answering the call i just want to hang up in her ear. This woman really needs to smarten up or be canned from my experiences with her.

to For The Drivers ! For 1 you don't know me ! To get in a car that has smoke in it when you have allergies can cause serious health issues !
I guess your one of these people that i guess only think of themselves !!

M Henderson's experience doesn't surprise me. Diamond has a bunch of rude, dirty drivers working there. i've seen empty cars drive right past people trying to flag them down in sub zero weather. no thanks. Town Taxi for me.

I found the dispatcher very rude, after using the cab for over a year she just lied to me about how busy they were and took a very rude tone when I asked her a simple request. I will never use this cab company again, I'd rather walk than be lied to.
