My boyfriend and I are going to be staying at the Radisson hotel in Laval in a few weeks. Can anyone tell me what the rates would be to get from Laval to Downtown Montreal?

I think I might have lost my cell phone in one of the taxis I took today. Is there any way that I can find it?

I wonder how much it would cost a taxi from the Train Station to LaRonde? And are their taxis available at La Ronde to pick you back up? A friend wondered if there could be problems with getting on and off the ramp at La Ronde.

How much do you usually tip the taxi driver for a 15-20 min ride? Fare (before tip) is usually about $25.

Tipping is the same as a Restaurent, I don't alway's tip, depends in service, if he helps with baggage, or opens door. If he does not get out of the car and is not polite it's 0.00 tip

Do taxi's generally allow you to have larger goods with you? If I need to buy, say, an office chair and a big tv from walmart, would they be willing to give me a ride? Do they charge more?

When you call the cab company tell them and they will send a cab that will take it, most likely a minivan, and yes they will charge extra, find out first before you go

I'm debating between a rental car or a Taxi. I would be going approx 2.5 miles from the airport. Does anyone know how much a taxi ride would be for that distance in comparison to a rental car?

I would take a cab, the subway in Montreal is great, and when you have a rental you have to parc it, and that can be expencive

Actually the minimum charge was raised to $ cdn 38,00 I think.
All road signs are in french only.
You are bettor off by being driven. You do not want to challange the local drivers & not be able to read the signs if you do not read french. Anyway enjoy your stay in Quebec

My guess would be less than 20$. Quite cheap if you consider that you could not get lost on your way if you don't know the city. getting out and in the airport is a little bit tricky sometimes.
