i am a cab driver and cabcorp has charged some $10.03 from my account as well and incidentally i've never used any of its services:-). i donno, how they got my credit card number. my first priority now is to go to the bank and ask them what was going on b4 things go worse. May be someone else used my card with them or whatever???

OPEN UP YOUR EYES AND READ PEOPLE.THERE ARE SIGNS ALL OVER THE INSIDE OF THE CABS. IF YOU USE YOUR CARD YOU GET A 10%SERVICE FEE AND THE SERVICE FEE ATTRACTS A 1% GST. ITS IT JUST NOW ITEMISED ON YOUR RECIEPT... THIS HAS BEEN COMMON PRACTICE FOR 20 YEARS. IT IS CLEARLY STATED ON MANUAL DOCKETS TOO...... SO THEY ARE NOT RIPPING YOU OFF. YOU ARE JUST NOT READING....... SO WAKE UP, OPEN YOUR EYES AND READ!!!!!!!

shame on them. i hailed a cab from the airport, was given a receipt of 46.20 on the 10.08.09 and it has taken them a month and a half to deduct 51.28 from my credit card (maybe this is deliberate too just so we conveniently forget everyting). honestly speaking, the service was pretty average too, the driver couldn't be bothered helping with the luggage at all.

Same story receipt says $48.60 and credit card account $53.95. I also only claimed the $48.60 from work. What I do not understand is how they can get away without producing a GST tax receipt, are they screwing the Government as well?

I've also checked my credit card statement and have been charged $71 when my receipt says $64. Yes I know now that this figure they have written down doesn't include GST but it should be MADE CLEAR and also written on the receipt as I need to claim this expense back from work

The overcharged amounts that most of these people are complaining about, are the GST and service fee component. Taxis with eftpos machines give you a receipt that lists these, but Cabcorp just has a disclaimer on the bottom of the invoice. For the record, I got excellent friendly service from my CabCorp driver.

I took a cab from southbank to airport, $55 on credit card (through cabcorp) - this month another $70.41 from a company called yellow/black taxis, different to the original one ! been scammed I think and looking at blogs it's pretty widespread in melbourne.

I have had a similar experiance.  I caught a taxi from the airport to my hotel in Melbourne.  The receipt states $56.90 but $63.16 was charged to my credit card. I can not work out why.
I was travelling with work and hae claimed $56.90 back for the cab fair. The balance will have to come out of my own pocket.  I have never had this problem with other taxi services.

From reading above it seems like being ripped off by the Cabcorp company is the only way they make their money.
In taking a cab from Melbourne CBD to the airport, I was meant to be charged, as per my reciept, $46.10. Looking at my statement I was charged $51.28.
As small as this difference is, it still is wrong that CABCORP can overcharge. From reading above this is happening a lot so they are making a lot more on top of what they are meant to be.
Shame on you

i took one of ur taxis from north Balwyn to airport recieved a recipt AUD$53 for my Credit Card payment. but when i check my credit statement charge is $70.83
