I took a taxi from Hobart airport to Kingston at a verbally contracted fee of $70.He didn't know how to find the street that I needed to go to,didn't have a map or a GPS.I had to get out of the cab in Kingston and call relatives to pick me up from there.And he then charged me over $11 credit card fee.We won't be using these taxis again.

On Saturday 10th April we booked a cab to our house at 25 Invercargill Road Mt Nelson Hobart for 1715 hours. He arrived on time but when we went to enter the taxi there was not sufficient room behind the driver for an adult to sit because the driver had his seat so far back. When asked he refused to move forward because "he would be too cramped"! He then offered some rediculous excuse about his personal items being stolen from his boot so he now carried all these items on the floor at his feet. Surely this is unsafe.
As to his refusal to shift the seat he seems to have forgotten who is hiring the taxi and who is driving. The other thing he has forgotten is that there are other taxi companies in the market.
His taxi cab number was 353 and his name was Geoff.
When I told him I was going to complain about his attitude he said to go ahead as it would not go anywhere. Well time will tell.
