Taxi driver killed in knife attack in Madrid

An Argentinean taxi driver in Madrid has died after having his throat cut while on duty.
Daniel Anibal A.G. died on Friday night after being stabbed near Calle Arturo Soria in the Hortaleza area of the city.
Despite his injury he managed to drive for a time, stopping by a SUMMA ambulance, managing to say ‘El puto negro’ before collapsing. The medical team tried to revive him for some 40 minutes without success.
Police to say they are searching for a black man.
Other taxi drivers collected at Cibeles in protest as news of the aggression spread. Hundreds of taxis formed a file down the main streets of Castellana and Grand Via.
Following the attack comes the news that a new commission is to study the security problems for taxi drivers in the capital. It is made up of representatives from central and regional governments as well as the City Hall and professional associations.
It will hold an urgent meeting following the latest attack.
