Visitors: Residents: To apply for a Cyprus provisional driving licence: To obtain a licence to enable you to learn to drive, application should be made at the Department of Transport (DoRT) with the documents shown below. The fee is £3. This covers the cost of a verbal test on the signs and highway code. You have to pass this test before a provisional driving licence will be issued. (Not required for an exchange licence) Usually, if you attend between 1000hrs and 1200hrs you may take this test immediately. If not, make an appointment with the examiner to return at a more suitable time. Return to the front office with the pass document and the documents and fee listed below to be issued with the provisional licence.
